After finishing my study at the Rhein-Main University, my friend Christian Kriegsheim and me decided to take any risks for being independent. So we developed our agency-structures to act in all kinds of creative disciplines. Youlookfor Design is our fusion which will grow constantly from now on. Finally I’m working on my Thesis-Project at the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden – HSRM. The basic idea of this project is to make a research of my personal life as a human and so called artist or designer. Mainly I want to discover the influences of the past and present that effected me in my behavior and work.

I wrote nearly 100 pages trying to sum up the memories of my 25 years on this planet and asked some friends to write down their honest impression of my person.
Through these words I got a better base to handle the development of the concept for a sophisticated layout. After several versions I decided to expand the book-project to the web. In this section you will find a documentation of the layout-process for the book itself, which concentrates on the story, without showing much works. Therefor you find a sorted and selected schowcase of my progress as an artist in the “work catalogue”. The selected works are mostly never shown personal sketches.

Here you can see the main stages of the layout I’ve done so far. The current version nr. 16, on which I am working right now will be the last and final one.
I don’t think that this project will be a temporary one because I’m curious about keeping up on it in the future. So far the project helped me to accept and also to finisch some personal emotional conflicts.

Furthermore there will be a single-show at the Schauraum-Gallery in the Artfactory Worms in February 2010, where I will exhibit also Sideprojects that turned out while working on this book. Please feel free to take a second look the next days because I’ll update these sections regularly until the end of the Exhibition.

Selected works beginning from 1996 when I was a nerdy Comicfanboy at the age of 12. I concentrated mostly on drawing Superheroes and Fantasy-topics, especially when I began to play RPG’s like Dungeons&Dragons. Primary in 2004 my interest in artistic expression beyond Comic-books enlarged.

When I came across the new Victoria and Albert Museum Identity-Project realised by Karsten Schmidt, I was amazed by his work. Also the possibility to rearrange and recode/decode the original processing-code got me completely. So here are my Stills from the code for the Decode Exhibition. During my internship at Taobot, I got the chance to work on the illustration for the Omega Code project together with Danny Franzreb who also did the art direction. He is one of the 23 invited artists besides Joshua Davis, Matthew Curry, David Rondel Cambou, Robert Lindström, Peter Jaworowski, Colletivo, Nelson Balaban, Doug Alves, Sebastian Onufszak, Mike Cina, Michael Paul Young, Doomedo, Animatório, Andreas Pihlström, Christopher Hewitt, Mate Steinforth, Tom Muller, Danny Franzreb, Motomichi Nakamura, Tomás Peña, David Polonia, João Oliveira, Si Scott and Umeric.

It was an intensive piece of work, to come to the point when the aesthetic requirements were satisfying enough within the concept of an organic sculpture that he had in mind. The constant dialogue between Danny and me about the form and appearance of the poster inspired me a lot and influenced me deeply.

When the the possibility came to submit a fanart-poster to the project I couldn’t resist. But I didn’t want to do something similar or compareable to the other contributions. I wanted to create somekind of a cinematic moment where the omega-logo appears in an seemingly improper environment.

Rojo-Magazine from Sao Paulo invited me to publish some art in their upcoming book which will be released later this year. I created this series of two with some old stock of mine. My aim was to give the Octopus a mystic and mutant touch. After several colored versions I finally decided to make it monochrome.

The third poster for selfpromotional purpose.

This is the first of more upcoming promotional posters and postcards for myself. I was already playing with that idea when doing the AF 004 Graphic.

A very interesting task at Taobot was the design of a poster to attract new interns after me.
The whole graphic intends to show Taobot as a moving space trough which I traveled and increased. The art direction was done by Danny Franzreb.

I’m working now for several years with the group of Doctor Atmosfearcrush, Tomahawk and Machete, who are unbelievable sounddesigners and musicians in the name of art. So it was a great opportunity to design their whole visual identity. The identity range includes a visual language for printsolutions, promotional cd’s and two websites. Check them out!

Converse made a contest about “your greatest moment with converse”. I got the idea for a provocative piece in a female and male variation. Guess I was a bit too provocative because I never heard something about the results.
