About Artfatale – Harry Seifert
My name is Harry Seifert and I’m 25 years old. I was born in Tbiliskaja which is a small town near the Black Sea in Russia. My family moved over to Germany when I was just 2 years old, so I can hardly remember anything of my “Homeland”. I grew up in Worms (the Town of the Nibelungen) where my great interest in drawing got bigger and bigger after buying a Spiderman Comicbook. From there on every step and decision in my life guided me through different artistic tasks and hopes.
I started to draw comicheroes and learned to tell illustrated-stories like my idols Stan Lee, Frank Frazetta, Simon Bisley, Todd Mcfarlane, Greg Capullo, Enki Bilal and all the great comic-artists in the world that I liked. The fascination by Illustration and Art did not let me go and I tried to find a community where I could share my creative work. The place of destiny for my personal and artisitcal development was the Art-Factory in Worms. There I was lucky to meet many creative companions such as the members of the Esc. Laboratory: Doc. Atmosfearcrush, Tomahawk and Machete, aswell as Michael Mahla, Timothy Salt and many more.
I was involved in many exhibitions, contests and art-shows since 2003 and learned like a maniac the different ways of Expression and Systematics in Art. After finishing school and civilian service, personal circumstances made it happen that I studied Informatics first before moving to Wiesbaden Germany for Design.
Now that I’ve reached the end of my studies I can exhibit an amount of experiences as a Freelancer in different designareas like Editorialdesign, Corporate Identity, Illustration, Photography, Compositing, Motion and Webdesign. Besides working for clients I was also happy to work together with different Agencies including Flächenbrand, Michael Eibes Design and Taobot Design, where I completed an internship with the duration of 6 months. I got always the chance to work in “face-to-face-situations” which offert me the opportunity of learning directly from the different Art and Creative Directors. Especially Taobot let me be part of their working-process and influenced my way of working and thinking in particular.
Directly after my study I founded a Designstudio with my friend and Co-founder Christian Kriegsheim. YLF-Design concentrates on designsolutions across all media.
